Tech Campus Istanbul is a cutting-edge example of cargotecture meeting innovation. Designed and built by ATÖLYE Labs, this modular office space demonstrates how repurposed shipping containers can create a dynamic and functional environment for tech-driven collaboration. Situated in Izmir, Turkey, this project stands as a forward-thinking approach to sustainable and flexible workspace design.

Build Method

The campus is constructed using multiple repurposed High Cube ISO shipping containers, carefully arranged to maximise both efficiency and aesthetics. The design incorporates large glass panels to enhance natural lighting while maintaining an open and airy feel.

One of the defining features of Tech Campus Istanbul is its modularity—the 35 containers are arranged in a way that allows for easy expansion or relocation, making it a highly adaptable workspace. The interiors feature minimalist yet functional designs, with exposed steel beams, polished concrete floors, and custom-built furniture that complements the industrial aesthetic.

The campus also integrates green technologies such as rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient insulation, and solar panels to minimise its environmental footprint. A series of landscaped outdoor spaces provide employees with areas to collaborate and unwind, reinforcing the project's commitment to blending nature with modern work environments.
